Adaptation in a changing world: what genetics can tell us about restoration and resilience (139014)

Kathryn Hodgins 1
  1. Monash University, Clayton, VIC, Australia

Kay’s talk will explore how plants adapt to new and changing environments, and what this means for restoration and conservation. Drawing on examples from trees, invasive species, and emerging work in native grasses, she will highlight how genetic variation underpins adaptation, and how genomic tools can help guide decisions about seed sourcing, population management, and resilience under future climates.
